Job Summary
Harvest E&I Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project / Planning Engineer to manage project progress claims, cost control, and contract administration for our E&I construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and monitoring progress claims while ensuring compliance with contract requirements and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to clients in accordance with contract requirements.

Verify work progress on-site and ensure accurate measurement and valuation of completed works.

Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineers, QS, and clients for claim certification and approval.

Prepare supporting documents including progress reports, work done summaries, measurement sheets, and site records.

Monitor project cost, variation orders (VO), and additional works.

Prepare and evaluate variation order claims and final accounts.

Track payment status and follow up on outstanding claims.

Assist in project planning, scheduling, and reporting (if required).

Ensure compliance with contractual terms and company procedures.

Maintain proper documentation and filing system for all project claims.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in E&I construction projects.

Experience in preparing and managing progress claims is required.

Familiar with contract administration and construction documentation.

Knowledge of measurement of E&I works (cable tray, cabling, termination, panel installation, testing & commissioning, etc.).

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project management software (e.g., MS Project).

Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience dealing with main contractors and consultants.

Familiar with local construction contracts and project claim procedures.

Knowledge of cost control and budgeting is an added advantage.
