Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and cooking dishes according to restaurant standards
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company expectations
- Support the Head Chef in menu planning and food inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, following food safety regulations
- Monitor and store food supplies properly to ensure freshness
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff and maintaining kitchen discipline
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commis Chef, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role in an F&B establishment
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety
- Strong teamwork, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
