Job Description 

• Assist in Design & Drafting

  • Support engineers in preparing structural drawings and design calculations.

  • Use software such as AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, or Etabs under supervision.

  • Check and update technical drawings and specifications.

• Site Support & Supervision

  • Attend site visits to observe construction activities.

  • Assist in monitoring site progress, quality, and safety compliance.

  • Prepare site inspection reports and take measurements.

• Technical Documentation & Reporting

  • Help prepare technical reports, design proposals, and presentation materials.

  • Maintain project records, filing, and documentation.

  • Update logs for design submissions, revisions, and approvals.

• Project Coordination

  • Support communication between design, construction, and project management teams.

  • Attend meetings with consultants, contractors, or clients (as an observer or note-taker).

  • Assist in preparing minutes of meetings and follow-up action items.

• Learning & Development

  • Gain hands-on experience in structural design principles and engineering practices.

  • Learn industry standards, codes of practice (BS, Eurocode, MS, etc.).

  • Apply academic knowledge to solve practical engineering problems.

• Ad-hoc Engineering Support

  • Conduct research on materials, construction methods, and new technologies.

  • Assist in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and basic project budgeting.

  • Provide support in troubleshooting engineering and design issues.

Job Requirements

• Proficient in structural analysis and design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, Tekla, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of structural design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocode, BS, ACI, ASCE).
• Experience in preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A team player with a proactive and positive work attitude.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and engineering methodologies.
• Proficiency in English, Chinese and Malay (spoken & written).
• Own transport required for site visits and project coordination.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
