Roles & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Sous Chef to ensure quality meals are prepared by inmates in accordance to dietary requirements and proper standards are adhered at all stages
  • Supervise inmates in daily food preparation, cooking and dishing in the kitchen
  • Ensure daily food samples are collected and handled in a sterile manner and stored under appropriate conditions
  • Follow strictly to proper handling of food items according to food hygiene and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure inmates practice and follow on good personal hygiene, proper use of kitchen equipment and safe work practices.
  • Ensure cleaning and sanitizing is executed by inmates after post kitchen operations
  • Perform receiving and inspect deliveries to ensure they match PO orders.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with Singapore Prison Services and YRI, ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene; practise workplace safety at all times.
  • Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training.
  • Always adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Professional representation of the company through personal conduct and appearance.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in food and beverage operations
  • Conversant in English and write simple English
  • Ability to work and guide inmates in the kitchen
  • Possess food and hygiene certificate
