The Accounts Assistant cum Admin plays a vital role in supporting the financial and admin operations of the sales and finance team of the temple. This position assists in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing administrative support to the sales and finance team.

 

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Perform bank reconciliation by matching financial records with bank statements.
  • Assist in processing payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment schedules.
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable, including tracking donations, issuing receipts, and coordinating with donors or members for outstanding payments.

Financial Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.
  • Ensure proper filing and organization of financial records for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Support the sales and finance team in data entry and updating financial databases or systems.

Expense Monitoring and Reconciliation

  • Assist in monitoring and reconciling expense reports and receipts submitted.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of expense documentation and ensure adherence to the temple's financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance team to resolve any discrepancies or expenses-related issues.

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the sales and finance team.
  • Manage correspondence and communication related to financial matters, both internally and externally.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and organization of financial files, documents, and records.

Compliance and Regulations

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements applicable to the temple.
  • Support the finance team in preparing necessary documentation or reports for audits or government agencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • O-level/ N-level/ SPM/ UEC or equivalent; additional education or training in finance or accounting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Prior experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred.
  • Understanding of financial principles, practices, and terminology.
  • Strong ability to learn new skills/things.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when required.
