Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Academic Coordinator at Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple in Singapore will play a pivotal role in supporting academic initiatives, overseeing media and editorial work, and managing general administrative tasks. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in academia, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for promoting educational excellence in a multicultural environment.

 

Responsibilities:

Academic Support

  • Collaborate with academic departments to facilitate effective communication and coordination of curriculum-related activities.
    Assist in the development and implementation of academic policies and procedures.
    Support faculty in organizing academic events, workshops, and seminars.

Media and Editorial Work

  • Oversee the creation and management of educational content for various media channels.
    Collaborate with faculty to highlight academic achievements and research through articles, press releases, and social media.
    Coordinate with external vendors for the production of promotional materials.

General Administrative Duties

  • Manage administrative tasks related to academic programs, including scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting.
    Coordinate logistics for academic meetings, conferences, and special events.
    Handle general inquiries related to academic programs.

Student Engagement

  • Work closely with students to address academic concerns and provide guidance on educational resources.
    Collaborate with student organizations to enhance the academic experience and foster a sense of community.

Quality Assurance

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes for academic programs.
    Conduct regular reviews of academic materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Communication

  • Maintain effective communication channels between academic departments, faculty, and administrative staff.
    Prepare regular reports on academic activities and achievements for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in academic coordination or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with media and editorial processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
