This position reports directly to Operations Management (Distribution Centre & Gateway) Dept. Closely working with Distribution Centre Warehouse Team and Gateway Export Team, primarily handling and managing shipment exceptions (ie, Export Unsendables) and providing solutions.

 

Job Description:

  • Formulate and update the standards and lists for Imports and Exports information (Restricted, Prohibited items in importing into Singapore, exporting out of Singapore) as regulated and updated by Singapore Export Controls / Customs policies, and destination customs regulations.
  • Formulate, update on a timely manner and cascade Export document requirements as aligned and updated with Singapore Custom policies.
  • Providing guidance and on-time solution provision and answering export queries received from multi-channel frontline sources (ie, from Couriers, Service Point leaders, Customer Service, etc).
  • Review, update and resolve the Daily Detained & Ageing list export goods and contact the customer to supplement the incomplete export information.
  • Be able to advise to internal or external stakeholders the full set of export shipping documents required, and any revisions or amendments required (ie, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, non-dg form, etc).
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that there is a good and timely flow of information and updates.
  • Apply pre-export inspection when needed; Audit exported shipments, contact customer, or liaise closely with Customer Service Team to obtain or supplement incomplete export documentation.
  • Ensure compliance to customer’s standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate and facilitate calibration sessions with Internal Stakeholders.
  • Exercises sound judgment within defined practices and policies for obtaining solutions, including facilitating any discussions that are required to resolve open export issues.
  • Perform or assist warehouse team in physical handling of exported goods as needed or requested.
  • To ensure that all controlled documents like SOP (standard operating procedures) and working instructions are maintained and updated regularly.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree, preferably in Logistics / Supply Chain
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in Logistics / Supply Chain / Express Delivery companies, focus on Export processing
  • Familiarity with Singapore Custom Export Control
  • Understanding of Chinese Import Policies and Requirements
  • Preferably with Dangerous Goods (DG) course training and certification
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical & Solution-provision skills
  • Proficiency in MS office: Word, Excel and Powerpoint
