​Job Description 

• Responsible for the handling and safekeeping of guests’ luggages on arrival and departure, the delivery of messages and parcels for guests in-house, storage of guests’ belongings, and porte cochere activities of the doorman.
• To act as doorman to welcome guests from driveway to Reception for check-in, then to bring guests to their room.
• Based in the lobby, they will at all times be visible, approachable and expected to provide accurate information/assistance to guests’ enquiries/requests.
• Ensure that all incoming and outgoing luggages are efficiently and promptly handled by maintaining set procedures for luggage storage.
• Assists in loading and unloading luggages to and from vehicles.
• Ensure that the hotel’s equipment/property entrusted to you are carefully handled and maintained to protect against loss or damage.
• Stand at postings assigned by the Concierge and follows a rotation of luggage handling trips. Do not slouch or lean against walls, doorways or pillars.
• Keep the lobby furniture in its proper place, cleans ashtrays when necessary, remove litter and newspapers.
• To deliver packages, incoming faxes, messages to guestrooms as well as internal department efficiently.
• Escorts guests to their rooms and explains facilities in the room.
• Co-ordinates with Front Office for fast removal of luggage from rooms, control room keys to avoid skippers and unsettled bills before releasing any luggage.
• Ensures that the driveway is clear and all vehicles stop or park in designated lots.
