Food preparation
- Follow guiding from Chef
- Cook dishes according to daily/ weekly/ monthly/ special festive menu
- Cook according to correct number of portions for each meal period, without wastage
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used and dishes served
- Ensure that the working area is always kept clean and dry
Kitchen Operation
- Report to supervisor, immediately when operating equipment not in good working conditions
- Check goods receivable from suppliers and store them according to hygiene and food safety standard
- Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils after use
- Check on sanitation and cleanliness of equipment daily
- Assist in serving of dishes when required
- Wash pots/ pans/ dishes/ utensils and other cooking equipment if required
Customer Service
- Be polite in clients’ presence
- Assist clients with regards to outlet operation
- Update clients’ feedbacks immediately to supervisor
- Have good eye contact when speaking with someone
- Communicate effectively including with team members
Administration
- Ensure that document and forms for head office are submitted on a timely basis
Hygiene and work safety
- Practice good food hygiene and personal hygiene
- Take care to prevent any food contamination
- Data recording practices for basic food hygiene requirement to be followed strictly
- Attend Basic Food Hygiene course
- Observe safe work procedures when handling equipment
