Roles & Responsibilities
The Social Work Assistant will manage the day-to-day operations at the reception area and to provide support to patients and the department.
Job Description:
- Attending to walk-in enquires at the information counter, and work with colleagues to ensure services are provided to all patients and family members.
- Obtaining accurate and crucial information and documents from patients.
- Attending to phone calls coming through the department hotlines.
- Booking, rescheduling and cancelling of appointments as per patients or Medical Social Workers request.
- Attending to emails through department's common email.
- Translators for patients and Medical Social Workers.
- Conducting home visits as and when required.
- Performing other administrative duties when required.
- Performing sundry duties as and when required.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Program Lead, Medical Social Workers or HOD.
Job Requirement:
- Higher NITEC/NITEC/GCE "O"/"N"/"A" level with at least 4 years relevant experience.
- Willingness to undergo Certificate in Basic Counselling Skill training.
- Desire in working in a helping profession.
- Ability to receive and attend to patients at the reception area.
- Ability to Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Speak common dialects and interpret for MSWs in the wards and office.
- Able to conduct routine home visits.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
