Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Assist the veterinarian in the treatment of patients.
• Provide physiotherapy when required and as instructed by the veterinarian.
• Walk patients at least twice a day, or as directed.
• Administer medications as prescribed by the veterinarian.
• Ensure the ward area, isolation room, consultation rooms, and pharmacy are kept clean.
• Ensure that all diagnostic equipment used is clean to maintain the accuracy of test results.
• Monitor the stock of controlled drugs, other medications, and instruments in the clinic.
• Place orders with the head office once the stock of drugs is low.
• Assist veterinarians in dispensing and labeling medications as instructed.
• Prepare surgical instruments and gowns in the surgery room.
• Update patient records with laboratory results and other relevant information, such as medications dispensed, when instructed by the veterinarian.
• Set up appointments with clients for follow-up cases, vaccinations, and heartworm prevention boosters.
• Participate in both internal and local conferences.

Requirements:

• At least Diploma/Certificate in Veterinary Nursing/STPM holders may be considered.
• Experience working with animal is beneficial.
• Effective communication skills.
• Love, patience and compassion for animals.
• Ability to handle and interact with animals.
• Manual dexterity

Working time / days or any working details:

• 5 days per week (working days to be rotated)
• 9:30am – 7:30pm (1-hour break)
