Responsibilities:

• Test facilities for environmental hazards.
• Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
• Inspect work environments to ensure safety and compliance.
• Supply, operate, and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Compile all required environmental records and documentation.
• Prepare official health records and documents.
• Set up and conduct emergency response drills.
• Organize and deliver health and safety training programs.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred).
• Proven experience as a safety officer.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., OSHA/EPA) and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials and practices.
• Experience in writing health and safety reports and policies.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical reporting.
• Skilled in MS Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems (SMIS) is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics clearly.
