Responsibilities:
a) Production Scheduling
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels
- Ensure the optimal allocation of resources, including labor, equipment, and raw materials, to meet production targets
b) Inventory Management
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess stock
- Implement strategies to minimize waste and ensure the timely use of perishable ingredients
c) Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer demands and expectations
- Communicate production schedules and any changes to relevant stakeholders, including production teams, procurement, and management
d) Capacity Planning
- Assess production capacity and identify opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with production managers to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance overall efficiency
e) Continuous Improvement
- Analyze production data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance production planning and overall operational effectiveness
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Production Planner in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using production planning software and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in bakery manufacturing
