Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor project budgets and provide regular financial reports
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering initiatives
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project success
- Provide expert advice on construction law, regulations, and industry best practices
Job Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Certification: Chartered Quantity Surveyor status or actively working towards it (for senior-level positions)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in construction cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of construction law, regulations, and industry best practices
