Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely reporting of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial results, including preparation of annual reports, financial statements, and quarterly reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards, listing requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Prepare general ledger journals, monthly account reconciliations, and variance analysis to maintain financial accuracy
- Analyze variances, prepare budgets, and develop forecasts for financial planning
- Support internal and external audits, government regulatory reporting, and secretarial matters
- Manage fixed assets, including capitalization, asset movements, postings, depreciation, reporting, and analysis
- Regularly review inventory variances, highlighting exceptional items or deviations exceeding tolerance levels to the Finance Manager
- Liaise with financial institutions, auditors, lawyers, tax agents, and other regulatory bodies regarding financing and accounting-related matters
- Handle ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned by the Finance Manager
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Qualification in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting
- Strong background in GL systems and financial analysis
- Preferred candidates from a manufacturing background
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUP
- Experience with SQL Systems is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision
- Strong willingness to learn and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
