We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at CHAR KUE TIAU OYSTER TABASCO' in Wakaf Che Yeh Kelantan!
As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and overseeing the kitchen operations to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers. This is a full-time position.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen
- Preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Malaysian and international dishes to the highest standards
- Ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the kitchen, including inventory management, menu planning, and staff supervision
- Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborating with the team to develop new and innovative menu items
- Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
Who we're looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian and international cuisine and cooking techniques
- Excellent time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Certification in food safety and hygiene
