Job Responsibilities

1) Gas System Installation and Maintenance

  •  Design, install, and maintain gas systems and pipelines according to industry standards and safety regulations
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in gas appliances, equipment, and infrastructure
  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the efficiency and safety of gas systems

2) Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all gas systems comply with local, state, and national safety codes and standards
  • Perform safety checks and tests to detect leaks, pressure issues, and system malfunctions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety protocols and implement them in daily operations

3) Technical Operations

  • Calibrate and test gas meters, regulators, and control systems
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for gas system installation or modification
  • Manage gas flow distribution and monitor system performance

4) Customer Support and Service

  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints related to gas services
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on the safe use of gas systems and appliances
  • Deliver excellent customer service to build and maintain relationships with clients

5) Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair work
  • Prepare detailed reports on system conditions, safety inspections, and maintenance activities
  • Keep logs of materials used and ensure inventory is adequately stocked

6) Project Management

  • Plan and execute gas-related projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and scheduling
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures for project safety

7) Training and Development

  • Train junior engineers or technicians on gas system operations and safety standards
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes

8) Emergency Response

  • Respond promptly to gas-related emergencies, including leaks, outages, and equipment failures
  • Coordinate with emergency services and relevant authorities during crisis situations

9) Skills

  • Proficiency in using gas testing tools and equipment
  • Familiarity with local and international gas safety standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Gas or Mechanical Engineer roles
  • Strong knowledge of LPG and Natural Gas piping systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams
  • Proficiency in technical calculations and understanding of regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possession of a Gas Engineer or Gas Supervisor (PKG) certification is an advantage
