Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the utility equipment, systems, and activities related to steam, thermal oil, cooling tower, air compressor, nitrogen generator (PSA), tubewells water and Air Selangor’s water supply
• Ensure legal compliance on steam facilities and activities to comply with DOSH and audit requirements
• Able to troubleshoot, provide engineering support, and solutions on operations, preventive maintenance for utility equipment
• Ensure prompt actions and troubleshooting of the repair and maintenance of utility equipment for its reliability and minimum downtimes
• To plan for routine maintenance and scheduled inspection for the steam boiler and thermal oil heater
• To maintain and comply with the boilers and thermal oil heater operations as stated in the Factories and Machinery (Steam Boiler and Unfired Pressure Vessels) Regulations 1970
• To establish and review the JSA, HIRARC, and procedures related to boilers and thermal oil heaters for safe operation
• Lead and manage a team of 4 crews, 3 shifts of boilermen
• Review and comment on the daily boilerman’s logbook & conduct daily toolbox meeting with shift boilermen
• Perform monthly stock-take for utility and chemical usage
• To perform any other task assigned by the superior

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Diploma in either Mechanical or Chemical Engineering 
• At least 3 to 4 years of working experience in a related field for the position of steam engineer
• Possesses the steam engineer competency certificate with Grade-2 from DOSH could be an advantage
• In-depth knowledge of steam systems, boilers, thermal oil heaters, air compressors, and cooling towers
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to steam and thermal oil heater equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot for steam and thermal oil systems
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in steam and thermal oil heater operations
• Strong communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
