Job Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions
- Issuing purchase orders, monitoring order status, and following up on deliveries
- Maintaining and updating the procurement database and supplier records
- Collaborating with the Marketing/Sales department to understand and meet their procurement needs
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Providing regular procurement reports and analysis
- Local & overseas farm visits, exhibitions, and travelling
Job Requirements:
- Minimum: A Diploma holder with 2 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in FMCG or a related field
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- The ability to converse in various languages and dialects is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite and related software
- Knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and best practices
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
