Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the lorry is mechanically sound, well-maintained, and legally roadworthy
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance during breakdowns or accidents while in transit
- Safely secure heavy loads and large goods to prevent damage during transport
- Plan and organize the most efficient delivery routes from pickup to drop-off points
- Stay updated on road closures, traffic conditions, and diversions to avoid delays
- Organize and manage multiple drop-offs and deliveries within a single working day
- Supervise and assist with the loading and unloading of goods to ensure proper handling
- Adhere to delivery schedules and ensure timely, accurate delivery of goods in good condition
