Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and create authentic Japanese menus (sushi, sashimi, ramen, teppanyaki, etc.) that cater to Malaysian tastes
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control
  • Train, supervise and motivate kitchen staff
  • Monitor food inventory and control costs
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with management on promotions and seasonal menus
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Japanese Chef (2+ years preferred)
  • Expertise in preparing sushi, sashimi, tempura, yakitori, and other Japanese dishes
  • Ability to lead and train a multicultural kitchen team
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • High standard of personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Passionate about delivering excellent dining experiences
  • Malaysian Netizen Preferred
