Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and create authentic Japanese menus (sushi, sashimi, ramen, teppanyaki, etc.) that cater to Malaysian tastes
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control
- Train, supervise and motivate kitchen staff
- Monitor food inventory and control costs
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with management on promotions and seasonal menus
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Japanese Chef (2+ years preferred)
- Expertise in preparing sushi, sashimi, tempura, yakitori, and other Japanese dishes
- Ability to lead and train a multicultural kitchen team
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- High standard of personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Passionate about delivering excellent dining experiences
- Malaysian Netizen Preferred
