Job Purpose:
This job contributes to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf success by assisting the Cafe Manager or Assistant Manager in managing people to create and maintain the best specialty coffee and tea and best customer service to customers. The Supervisor will oversee the store operations in the absent of the Cafe Manager and Assistant Manager, fulfill any other duties assigned by the Cafe Manager or Assistant Manager, and will represent The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Requirements
Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:
• Ensure adherence to all products’ SOP to maintain the highest standards of products of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
• Oversee the progress to ensure consistent highest quality drinks and products are served.
• Create a welcoming and comfortable environment by maintaining the cafe presentation, cleanliness and enforces guidelines on music.
• Solicit customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community.
• Ensure all operational and personnel paperwork is accurate, complete and submitted on time, example daily report, daily float amount, employee incident report and etc.
• Inform the Cafe Manager / Assistant Manager of any operational inconsistencies.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for opening, handover and closing of cafe.
• Ensure the cleanliness of cafe, including bar area, floor, equipment and etc.

Employee Development
Coach, develop and retain staffs by:
• Mentor and coach new Brew Crews.
• Delegate, mentor and supervise Brew Crews when necessary.
• Motivate and inspire Brew Crews to achieve business results.
• Perpetuate company philosophy and culture.

Planning and Execution
Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
• Monitor and manage inventory to ensure that a par stock in maintained.
• Report potential safety hazards to the Cafe Manager / Assistant Manager.
• Assist the Cafe & Assistant Manager in planning and executing all sales promotions effectively and efficiently.

Qualification:
• Fresh Graduate with Diploma/Degree.
• Without paper qualification but with minimum of 2 years of work experience in F&B is welcome as well.

• Strong operational skills in a customer service environment.
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach the Brew Crews.
• Good communication skills.
• A team player with good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Articulate and able to communicate effectively across all functions and levels.
• Able to adapt to organizational changes and able to work under pressure.
