Job Description (Tenya Kitchen and Service Crew)

 

Service Section

 

  • Answer customer questions about menu items and serve customers at tables or counter
  • Handle the cash register to take takeaway orders, accept payment and give change
  • Prepare packaging for takeaway orders
  • Stock and replenish supplies at the service areas, and refill condiments
  • Clean and sanitize service areas including work surfaces, cupboards and storage areas
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
  • Dish-washing duties
  • Any other duties delegated by Store Manager from time to time

 

Kitchen Section

 

  • Automated kitchen – minimal washing, chopping, shredding, and grating of ingredients
  • Prepare meals items – including, among others, tempura items, various types of noodles (somen, soba, udon), starter items, etc
  • Assist with the unloading and packing of delivered items
  • Clean and maintain work stations, cooking equipment and food storage areas
  • Remove and clear kitchen garbage
  • Dish-washing duties
  • Any other duties delegated by Store Manager from time to time

 

 

Job Requirements (Tenya Kitchen and Service Crew)

 

  • Thorough knowledge of food safety procedures
  • Must be able to stand for long hours, lift heavy objects and suitable for kitchen work
  • Able to work on weekends and holidays
  • Able to work under pressure (especially during peak lunch/dinner time crowd)
  • Team player; excellent organisational and time management skills
