Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

1. Answers all incoming/outgoing calls coming through our private branch exchange (PBX) system in a professional and courteous manner.

2. Applies Hotel’s standard verbiage in all guest communications via PBX system.

3. Screens callers to know the purpose of call and transfers to the respective offices or staff accurately.

4. Provides general assistance to callers enquire on Hotel’s products and services in a professional manner.

5. Administers the programming and executing of guests’ wake-up-calls.

6. Ensures that call log entries (e.g. IDD & Assisted Calls) are recorded and updated in a systematic and timely manner.

7. Assists in the dissemination of required information during emergency situation.

8. Updates and maintains Hotel’s telecommunication equipment inventory records.

9. Assists in the coordination of the repair/replacement of Hotel’s telecommunication equipment.

10. Assists in back-end reception administration duties such as releasing of credit card verifications, handling card verification disputes and coordination with UOB Bank on escalation cases etc.

11. Prepares and performs room reservation related administration duties such as room reservation correspondences, non-refundable reservation and no-show reservations.

12. Undertakes other duties as and when requested by the Front Office Management and Hotel Management.

 

Requirements

1. Fluent in both spoken and written English

2. GCE "O" level or equivalent

3. Knowledge of PMS Opera system is preferred

4. At least 1-2 years in hotel related industry, preferably under Hotel’s room division
