Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description
Healthcare Assistant (70%):
-Assists the residents in their daily needs
– Deliver nutritionally balanced and appetising meals to resident clusters, adhering meticulously to established schedules
– Provide compassionate assistance to residents with non-medical tasks, such as adjusting pillows, offering water, and responding to other simple requests
– Approach all interactions with residents with utmost respect, dignity, and empathy, especially when dealing with sensitive matters
– Assist in monitoring resident well-being and promptly reporting any changes in condition to nursing staff
– Support residents with mobility and help facilitate participation in activities
– Participate and facilitate in both on-site and off-site activities, ensuring residents are engaged and safe during all events
– Responsible for the systematic collection of data related to residents’ progress, activities
participation, and overall well-being, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
– Coordinate with the healthcare team to implement care plans and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of residents’ needs
– Making sure residents’ clothes and bedding are washed, folded, and returned promptly. Alternatively, involve residents in the process as part of their regular housekeeping routine, if that’s preferred
Housekeeping (30%):
– Clean resident areas, shared spaces, and other parts of the area making sure to follow our established cleaning rules
– Make sure surfaces, fixtures, and equipment are germ-free and clean. Safely deal with laundry and cleaning products, following the right guidelines
– Keep the whole environment tidy and organised, from the inside to the outside. Quickly let the maintenance team know if anything needs fixing or attention
– Assist getting the spaces ready for events, activities, and help clean / sanitise it afterward
– Any other duties/projects as assigned from time to time
Job Specifications
– Minimum of WPLN Level 3 above, GCE O Level/ NITEC, preferably in Nursing
– Previous experience in healthcare assistant or housekeeping is preferred but not mandatory
– Candidate with supervisory skills will be of advantage
– Experience in direct handling of youths / adults (age 19 & above) with autism will be an advantage
– Experience in residential /special needs settings will be advantageous
– Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines.
– Physical stamina and ability to lift and move moderate weights
– PC literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
– Able to work in a fast pace 24/7 work environment
– Have a sense of urgency and ability to prioritise
– Compassionate and patient personality
– Require to perform shift duties
Working Hours
– Shift Work (No night shift)
