Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- To perform theme painting for park wide Themed Elements (show sets, props, rockworks, hardscape and themed facades) within Universal Studio Singapore to restore to its original appearance. Occasionally include other attractions within Resort World Singapore.
- Perform day-to-day refurbishment of paintworks for the Themed Elements which include paint mixing, texture matching, aging effect, staining, sponging, ragging, layering, washing, shadow & highlighting, granite & marble effect, stucco effect, wood graining, rockwork, faux wood, trompe l’oeil, stencil, mural, metallic, high performance spray paint and not limited to treatment and repair works which include remove dent, filled in cracks, sand off, putty, plaster, varnish on substrates/base materials like FRP, GRP,GRC,GPG, TCP, drywall and floor concrete imprint.
- To prepare and conduct works in a safe & orderly manner by ensuring all protections and housekeeping are duly carried out.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Scenic Art, Fine Art, Sculpture, Theatre Production, Graphic or equivalent from a recognized art institute.
- Entry Level Candidates are welcome to apply.
- On job training provided
- Relevant working experience for themed painting/plastering works in theme parks, FEC (family entertainment Center), themed resorts/ museum/ Zoo/ theatre, decoration props/ window display production house would be advantageous.
- Must be able to perform overnight shift.
- Proficiency in various painting techniques and scenic treatments.
- Able to understand art direction and pay attention to detail and quality.
- Strong artistic and creative skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Able to perform tasks individually with efficiency and to work in team and cooperate between team members collaboratively.
