Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

Provide day care services to the clients attending the Day Care and Dementia Care Centre, by assisting in their personal care and activities of daily living to ensure comfort and safety of the individual in accordance with the standards of St. Andrew’s Senior Care, and maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment for the clients and assisting the clients in personal care and activities of daily living.

 

Job Description

  • Porter clients (between drop-off point and centre, to and fro the gym for rehabilitation session).
  • Help clients settle down upon arrival at the centre.
  • See to the dietary needs of clients by serving meals to them and supervising their consumption.
  • Supervise and/or assist clients in the various activities
  • Assist clients who are require minimal supervision during toileting.
  • Assist clients to settle down for a nap after lunch.
  • Assist in the mobility of clients.
  • Porter clients to and from Rehabilitation sessions.
  • Conduct group programmes and activities for the clients under the supervision of the therapists.
  • Participate in inservice training programmes designed and catered for upgrading of the staff.
  • Be familiar with the fire evacuation route of the centre and safe management measures of the centre.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned from time to time.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Secondary Education with Certificate in Healthcare Support
  • Candidates with no relevant experience will also be considered.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday / 42.5 hours per week (8.5 hours per day)
