Sales Consultant
Job Description
We are looking for a confident, friendly and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our growing jewellery business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalised consultations, understanding customers’ needs and guiding them towards suitable jewellery pieces. This role focuses on building trust and long-term customer relationships rather than aggressive or hard selling. The position will begin on a part-time basis for the month of September, with the intention of converting to full-time employment from October when the shop launches.

Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist customers in a professional, friendly and personalised manner.
Consult with customers to understand their preferences, requirements and budget.
Recommend suitable jewellery, diamonds and gemstones based on customer needs.
Explain product features, materials, designs and specifications clearly.
Provide a comfortable and consultative customer experience without aggressive selling.
Follow up with customers through WhatsApp, social media and other communication channels.
Assist customers with appointments and provide personalised consultations in a SOHO environment.
Handle customer enquiries and provide accurate product information.
Support other sales and customer service activities when required.
Work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
Requirements
Preferably 3 years of sales experience, particularly in the jewellery industry.
Candidates with strong luxury retail or premium sales experience are also encouraged to apply.
Strong customer consultation and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable explaining products and guiding customers through their purchasing decisions.
Good spoken English and Mandarin.
Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
Professional appearance and good personal grooming.
Confident, friendly, patient and trustworthy personality.
Comfortable working in an appointment-based SOHO environment.
Able to communicate with and follow up with customers through WhatsApp and social media.
Basic knowledge of diamonds and jewellery is strongly preferred.
Willingness to learn about diamonds, gemstones and jewellery products.
Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
