Job Description
Weemax Packaging Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and hardworking QC Assistant to support quality control activities within its production department. The successful candidate will assist in inspecting raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished corrugated carton and packaging products to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer specifications. The candidate will work closely with production operators and supervisors to identify defects, record inspection results, and help maintain consistent product quality throughout the manufacturing process. This position is suitable for candidates who are observant, willing to learn, and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
Skills
Key Responsibilities
Assist in inspecting incoming materials, work-in-progress products, and finished packaging products.
Check corrugated cartons and packaging materials for defects, damage, incorrect dimensions, printing errors, and other quality issues.
Verify product specifications against approved samples, job orders, drawings, or inspection requirements.
Check the appearance, quantity, labelling, and overall condition of finished products before they proceed to the next production stage.
Identify and report non-conforming products to the QC personnel or production supervisor.
Conduct routine quality checks during production according to established inspection procedures.
Monitor product quality at relevant production stages, including printing, cutting, folding, gluing, and packing.
Assist production personnel in identifying recurring defects and potential causes of quality problems.
Ensure that products are handled and inspected according to company quality standards.
Inform the supervisor when production output does not meet the required specifications.
Separate and identify defective or non-conforming products to prevent accidental use or dispatch.
Record inspection findings, defect types, quantities, and other required quality information.
Assist in investigating quality issues and gathering relevant information for further assessment.
Key Requirement
Relevant qualification or previous experience in quality control, manufacturing or production are an advantage
Candidates with experience in corrugated carton manufacturing, packing, printing or related industries are preferred
Basic understanding of quality inspection and production processes is an advantage
Able to identify visible defects and follow inspection instructions carefully
Good attention to detail, observation and record keeping skills
Responsible, hardworking, punctual and wiling to learn
Able to communicate and work effectively with production operators and supervisors
Able to perform task in a manufacturing environment and stand for extended periods where required
Basic computer skills are an advantage
Able to follow company SOP's, auality requirements, and workplace safety procedures
Salary
RM1,800–RM2,800 per month, depending on experience and suitability for the position.
